Public procurement can be an effective tool for promoting innovation and integration of renewable energy for municipalities and companies. However, it can be difficult for a public authority to find SMEs that can offer innovative services. Conversely, public procurement procedures can be an obstacle for SMEs. The workshop is dedicated to highlighting the conditions for SMEs to compete in public procurement. For example, not only the "most economically advantageous", but also LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) should be included in the evaluation of a tender.
This digital co-creation workshop puts both barriers and opportunities on the agenda - including EU procurement rules. The workshop invites public organizations, innovative SMEs and the researchers to discuss these barriers.
Participating in the digital co-creation workshop is free of charge and provides knowledge:
• The latest international research on environmentally friendly procurement
• EU procurement rules
• Swedish conditions for environmentally friendly and innovative procurement
• Barriers to procure environmentally friendly and innovative solutions from the municipalities
